SeaDream I feels more like a private yacht than a traditional cruise ship, with around 100 guests and a near one to one crew ratio creating a very personal, relaxed luxury atmosphere. There are no formal nights or big productions – the focus is on being outdoors, well looked after and free to set your own pace. Life on board naturally centres on the open decks. The teak pool area, Balinese “dream beds” and outdoor bar invite long, unhurried hours in the sun or under the stars, with staff appearing almost instantly with drinks and snacks. Many meals are served al fresco, with beautifully presented, freshly prepared cuisine, a strong emphasis on fine wines and an appealing raw and plant based menu alongside classic dishes. Indoors, you’ll find intimate lounges for cocktails and piano music, a small casino, a cosy library and the SeaDream Spa and fitness centre for treatments and workouts. When conditions allow, the retractable marina opens at the stern for water sports directly from the yacht. Throughout, the mood is polished but informal – ideal if you enjoy the sense of being on your own elegant, contemporary yacht, with the freedom to do as much or as little as you please.
